The leakage continues as there’s more coming in the BlackBerry pipeline after the reveal of the Curve Touch. Blatantly labelled as “Strictly Confidential”, the guys at CrackBerry has done it again to reveal what RIM has in store for the CDMA loyalists. Let’s take the image above first. The “Monaco”, which looks like a sleeker version of the Storm, is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm processor, a 3,7 WVGA touchscreen and has a 5-megapixel camera with HD video. We will also have a CDMA PlayBook for Q2 2011. As far as we’re concerned, the only announced variant of the tablet is the Sprint’s WiMAX version (no CDMA support here). Then there’s the “Bold Touch” — the supposed moniker to be given to the CDMA Dakota. This will sport the classic QWERTY keypad with the addition of a touchscreen. There’s also a CDMA variant of a previously leaked phone, the Apollo — currently called Sedona. This is supposedly a next generation Curve that has NFC capabilities.
Development-wise, these new devices will most likely include some new technologies not present in their previous iterations. Some of which include a digital compass, NFC, HD video recording and better HTML 5 support. Also mentioned are support for Open GL, mobile hotspot features, vibrant 24-bit colors and a totally new virtual keyboard layout for the BlackBerry OS 6.1.
